An 'Aiea dance instructor awaiting trial on charges of sexually assaulting four teenage students was arrested and charged yesterday with assaulting a fifth girl.

Daniel E. Jones, who had been free on $100,000 bond, was arrested Friday and charged yesterday with two counts of sexual assault. Bond on the new charges was set at $50,000 and Jones posted it and was released yesterday.

Police said they uncovered information concerning the new charges as they continued to investigate the earlier charges.

A girl told them she was assaulted twice between July 2004 and November 2004. She was 12 years old at the time.

The girls in the earlier cases were 13 and 14 years old. Jones was accused of assaulting them between August of last year and March of this year.

The 20-year-old Jones, of Punchbowl, was an instructor at the Rosalie Woodson Dance Academy.

Jones, known for his tap dancing, has been performing since age 3.

Rosalie Woodson, founder of the dance academy, and a number of friends and family members have publically supported Jones against the charges.

Jones entered a not-guilty plea to the earlier charges during an arraignment in May.
