Husband says wife hit him with cooking pot

Police arrested a 30-year-old Kalihi woman this morning after her husband, 45, reported being bashed in the back of the head with a cooking pot while he was sleeping.

The husband told police he quarreled with his wife before he went to bed and was awakened when she hit him with the pot causing a deep cut to the back of his head.

The husband was taken to The Queen's Medical Center where he was reported to be in serious condition upon arrival.

Police went to the couple's home on Kalihi Street and arrested the wife for suspicion of second-degree assault. Domestic violence charges are pending against the wife as well, police said.
