  • "Podcasting" pioneer and author Todd Cochrane will explain the hot new trend during a do-it-yourself tutorial and question-and-answer period tomorrow, as part of an ongoing series of discussions sponsored by the University of Phoenix, Honolulu Campus. Topics will include developing your own podcasting show; recording a podcast with PC or Mac; integrating on-air phone calls, interviews and music; and dealing with copyrights and legal matters.   • With an expectation of developing more than 700 O'ahu homes and lots on Hawaiian Homes land in the next year and a half, the state Department of Hawaiian Home Lands has created a Home Ownership Assistance Program. A free orientation, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Blanche Pope Elementary School cafeteria in Waimanalo, will help direct Native Hawaiians to available resources for achieving homeownership.   • The second in this summer's "EMPLOYMENT LAW 2005 FOR TECH COMPANIES" ThinkTech Law Series, sponsored by ThinkTechHawaii and Pacific New Media in conjunction with the University of Hawai'i's William Richardson School of Law, will cover legal risks.
