FIRST HAWAIIAN ASSISTS FOOD GROUP

Aloha Harvest, a nonprofit organization that collects perishable food from donors and distributes it to O'ahu's needy, has received a $60,000 grant from the First Hawaiian Foundation. The money will be used over a three-year period to operate the agency.


OHA CONTRIBUTES FOR GENEALOGY DATA

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs has awarded $49,850 to Alu Like Inc. to add a collection of genealogical indexes from the Hawai'i State Archives to Ulukau, the Hawaiian Electronic Library.


FEDERAL MONEY FOR FAITH ACTION

The U.S. Department of Labor has given Faith Action for Community Equity a $25,000 grant. The money will be used for services for ex-offenders, people with disabilities, job seekers who face language barriers and others.
