WAC volleyball coaches pick UH women No. 1

The University of Hawai'i-Manoa women's volleyball team has been picked to win its 10th consecutive Western Athletic Conference championship, according to a poll of the conference coaches released today.

The Rainbow Wahine received eight of the nine first-place votes. UH coach Dave Shoji, who wasn't allowed to vote for his own team, picked Nevada.

Following UH and Nevada were three WAC newcomers, Idaho, New Mexico State and Utah State.

The coaches' preseason poll (first-place votes in parenthesis):
