TAPPING THE FUNNY BONE
Manoa Valley Theatre's 36th season comes to a close with "Comic Potential," a comedy by British playwright Alan Ayckbourn.
The action takes place in the television industry of the near future: As a hospital soap opera is being taped, an actoid (robot actor) has developed technical difficulties and an actoid in a nurse role seems to have human traits beyond her programming. All this is witnessed by a young, idealistic writer named Alan, who develops a special relationship with the nurse actoid.
The play is directed by Bill Ogilvie.

Tickets are $25 general, $20 seniors and military; $15 for those 25 and younger. 988-6131, manoavalleytheatre.com.
