Waikiki hosts another pair of Sunset on the Beach festivals, featuring food booths, entertainment and movies on that 30-foot screen at Queen's Surf Beach.

Tonight's movie is "Some Like it Hot," the 1959 classic starring Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon and Marilyn Monroe. It's the tale of two jazz musicians (Curtis and Lemmon) who witness a mob hit and go into hiding disguised as women in an all-girl band. In keeping with the night's retro jazz theme, there's a vintage aloha wear contest, with Hilo Hattie's gift certificates and Honolulu Centennial T-shirts as prizes. Anyone can enter (kids must be accompanied by parents or guardians); just show up at the side of the stage at 6:30 p.m.

Tomorrow's film is "The Day After Tomorrow," the disaster-and-survival flick starring Dennis Quaid and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Each night features music by the Hawaii International Jazz Festival All Star Big Band, led by festival founder Abe Weinstein, and special guests.

Sunset events begin at 4 p.m. each day; the films hit the screen after the sun goes down, about 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. 923-1094.
