Blaring music leads to stolen-car arrest

Officers followed the car and ordered the driver to stop on Nimitz Highway about 10:05 p.m. A check of the car's license number showed a 57-year-old man had reported it stolen earlier.
The driver, of a Kahanu Street address, was arrested for suspicion of car theft and driving without a license.
Based on items found on the driver while he was being booked, he was also arrested for suspicion of third-degree promotion of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Man arrested after attacking woman with hammer
A 35-year-old Kahuku man was arrested for suspicion of second-degree assault last night after he allegedly attacked his former girlfriend with a claw hammer.
Police arrested the man about 6:30 p.m. but did not indicate the severity of injuries, if any, to the woman.
Kahalu'u man with unregistered guns arrested
A 20-year-old Kahalu'u man was arrested yesterday for suspicion of a weapons violation after police responded to a report of gunshots being heard in upper Kahalu'u. Officers arrested the man as he left a mountain trail and was walking along Hui Kelu Street.
Police reported recovering two unregistered guns and arrested the man for suspicion of failing to properly store a firearm.
He was later released without charges pending further investigation.
Rock thrown through wife's windshield leads to arrest
A 48-year-old Kalihi man was arrested yesterday after he allegedly threw a rock at his wife's car, causing the windshield to shatter resulting in minor injuries to his wife and the couple's 9-month-old daughter.
The wife, 40, said she put the baby and the couple's 13-year-old daughter into the car and was driving away from the couple's home on Gulick Avenue because the husband had been acting violently.
Police were called arrested the husband about 5:50 p.m. at the corner of Dement and School streets for suspicion of first-degree criminal property damage.
