The University of Hawai'i Board of Regents unanimously approved today new contracts and raises for Manoa athletic director Herman Frazier and men's basketball coach Riley Wallace.

Frazier received a five-year deal, effective Aug. 1, 2005, with a raise to $250,000, plus incentives.

Wallace received a two-year extension, effective May 1, 2005. The first year will be at $250,000 and the second will be $275,000.

Both received $210,000 this past year.

Wallace's extension will take him to age 65.

"I'm delighted that Herman Frazier and Riley Wallace will continue to serve UH's Manoa campus and the community in the years to come," said UH Interim President David McClain.

Wallace, UH's winningest men's basketball coach, has a 299-241 record.

He was named Western Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 1989, 1997, and 2002.

He also was named NABC District 13 Coach of the Year in 2002.

Wallace, who will begin his 19th season as head coach at UH this year, received $55,000 in his first year, 1987-88.
