TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"House," 8 p.m., Fox. A handsome baseball pitcher (Scott Foley) is seriously stricken. He and his wife (Meredith Monroe) are perplexed. Is the guy holding something back? Dr. House scrambles in another superb rerun. There are also bursts of humor, as usual. This time, House races through five clinic patients in three minutes.

"Empire," 9 p.m., ABC. Last week, the cunning Marc Antony tricked Octavius and his supporters. After a drunken orgy, he dropped poisonous asps in Octavius' bed. Octavius barely survived. Now, with his gladiator bodyguard back home, the young emperor-designate struggles to survive. That points toward next week's terrific finale.

OF NOTE

"Average Joe 4," 7 p.m., NBC. Things get rough when the Joes and the jocks compete in a roller derby. One guy from each side ends up on a romantic date with Anna.

"NCIS," 7 p.m., CBS. A guy wakes up with a dead female sailor in his bed. There's one complication: He insists she's not the same woman he came home with.

"My Wife and Kids," 7 p.m., ABC. Michael's wife notices that their son lavishes attention on his new wife; now Michael is expected to be affectionate, too.

"The George Lopez Show," 7:30 p.m., ABC. After having trouble at home, Ricky moves in with the Lopez family.

"I Want to Be a Hilton," 8 p.m., NBC. The contestants learn such skills as dog-grooming and speed croquet. Oddly, their teacher is boxer Lennox Lewis.

"Wide Angle: Future for Lebanon," 9 p.m., PBS. This hour looks at the state of the Lebanese government after the assassination of its former leader.

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," 9 p.m., NBC. A murder takes police to meet a matriarch (Angela Lansbury) and her son (Alfred Molina).
