THE RICHEST 'CHOCOLATE'

Tim Burton's take on "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory" swept 3,770 theaters to take in an estimated $55.4 million for its opening weekend, Zap2it.com reports — $3 million over last year's No. 1 movie, "I, Robot."

New Line's "Wedding Crashers," came in second with an estimated $32.2 million, making it the only movie with an "R" rating in the Top 12.

Last week's winner, "Fantastic Four," slipped to third. Down 59 percent with an estimated $22.7 million, Fox's superhero flick managed to pass $100 million.
