Advertiser Staff

The River of Life Mission Honolulu and Salem Media of Hawai'i will join forces on Monday for a celebration of the spirit of Christmas in July. River of Life volunteers and station personnel will be out on the streets of Honolulu and on the air raising funds for River of Life, to further its mission of caring for the homeless in Honolulu.

Some of the money will be used to start a residential program for recovering women leaving prison.

Christmas music will be played all day on the participating stations.

This is a continuation of Salem's Help the Homeless concert that was held July 2 at the Waikiki Shell.

Radio stations KGMZ (Oldies 107.9 FM), KHNR (Honolulu's Talk and News 97.5 FM), KHUI (The Breeze 99.5 FM), KHCM (Hawai'i's Country Radio 1170 AM), and KGU (Hawai'i's Christian Talk 760 AM) will participate.

The radio stations of Salem Media of Hawai'i are owned and operated by Salem Communications Corp., a U.S. radio broadcaster focused on Christian- and family-themed programming and headquartered in Camarillo, Calif.
