The 15-year-old Punahou School junior recorded five birdies today en route to a 4-under-par 68 in the Evian Masters and earn yet another second-place finish in an LPGA Tournament.

The past days saw Wie vault up the leaderboard.

She was in 45th place after the first round, 23rd after two rounds, and ninth after the third round.

Wie's four-round total of 7-under-par 281 (75-70-68-68) elevated her into a tie with Lorena Ochoa.

Rookie Paula Creamer, 18, won going away, finishing with a 1-under 71 today for a 273 total, eight shots ahead of Wie and Ochoa. Annika Sorenstam shot 3-over-par 75 (285) and finished in 12th.

Creamer, who won her second LPGA Tournament, started the day seven shots ahead of the field, including 11 shots ahead of Wie.

Wie birdied the par-4 No. 1 and par-5 No. 9. She bogeyed the par-4 No. 6 to make the turn at 1-under 35. She played bogey-free on the back nine with birdies on the par-4 No. 12, par-4 No. 13 and par-5 No. 18 for 3-under 33.

It was Wie's third second-place finish in an LPGA Tournament in what has been a successful run this season.

She was runner-up in the SBS Open in February and in the McDonald's LPGA Championship in June.

She also shared the lead going into the final round in the U.S. Women's Open, came within two shots of becoming the first female in 60 years to make a PGA Tour cut, and advanced to the quarterfinals in the U.S. (men's) Amateur Public Links Championship, losing to the eventual champion.

Next week, Wie will play in the Weebatix Women's British Open, another LPGA Tournament.

She will finish her season in the Samsung World Championships in Palm Desert, Calif., in October.
