A surveyor discovered human skeletal remains yesterday afternoon in 'Ewa Beach.

Police said the man was in an undeveloped lot on Fort Weaver Road at about 1:30 p.m. when he found the remains. There was some clothing near the bones, but no form of identification.

The city medical examiner will attempt to determine the person's gender, identity and cause of death.

THREE IN KAHALU'U HELD IN DRUG RAID

Three people were arrested on drug-related charges early yesterday after police raided their Kahalu'u home.

Charges were pending against a 43-year-old woman and two men, ages 48 and 45.

This was the second time this year that the woman and the 48-year-old man were arrested on drug allegations at the home at 47-031 Okana Road.

They were arrested May 25 and released pending further investigation.

On May 16, former sumo wrestler Percy Kipapa was found stabbed to death in a truck outside the home. Kealiiokalani Meheula, 30, is scheduled to stand trial on a second-degree murder charge in Kipapa's death.

MULTIPLE CHARGES IN CAR THEFT, CHASE

Police arrested a 25-year-old man after a woman and her daughter said a man threatened them and stole their car before leading police on a chase on 'Alewa Heights yesterday afternoon.

The woman said she returned home from a day at the beach with her daughter when they found a man hiding in their garage in 'Alewa Heights. The man grabbed the woman's daughter by the neck and demanded the car keys, police said.

The woman complied and the man drove off. Officers pursued the car until the man jumped out and fled.

Police found him at Lolena and Kula streets. He was arrested at about 5 p.m. after a brief scuffle, police said.

The man faces burglary, auto theft, robbery and other charges.
