Pacific Writers Connection hosts Aug. 2-4 O'ahu event
The Pacific Writers Connection is hosting Language of the Land 2005, Ka Wai, Ka 'Aina a me na Loina Water, Land and Values, Aug. 2-4 on O'ahu. Events, in various locations, include readings, conversations with writers and a youth outreach event.
The guests include American Indian writer and teacher Debra Magpie Earling; director of the Northwest Writing Institute Kim Stafford; Australian writer and professor of law and indigenous studies Larissa Behrendt, ecological journalist Mark Tredinnick, and writer and editor of 'Oiwi, a Native Hawaiian journal Ku'ualoha Hoomanawanui.
