Mililani had 10 runs and 12 hits after two innings en route to the 4 1/2-inning game, which was shortened because of the 10-run mercy rule.

LONGTIME LEILEHUA OFFICIAL HONORED
About 300 friends, family members and colleagues gathered at the Japanese Cultural Center on Friday night for a celebration in honor of Richard Townsend, who retired June 30 after 37 years as a teacher, coach and athletic director at Leilehua High School.
Townsend coached the Mules to their only boys basketball state championship in 1973 and was an assistant coach for the Leilehua football team that won the school's only Prep Bowl title in 1984. He then succeeded Hugh Yoshida as athletic director in 1987 and has served as the O'ahu Interscholastic Association's football coordinator, overseeing the league's highest-profile and revenue-producing sport.
James Toyota, a captain on the Mules' 1974 OIA championship football team, has assumed Townsend's role as athletic director and Farrington AD Harold Tanaka is the OIA's new football coordinator.
