TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Empire" conclusion, 9 p.m., ABC. Even if you've missed the rest of this five-week, six-hour series, jump in for the finale. The Roman Empire is at stake with armies colliding. So far, we've learned to root for Octavius (Santiago Cabrera), a young man who was forced into public attention when his uncle, Julius Caesar, named him heir. He's been battling the devious and brilliant Marc Antony (Vincent Regan), helped by the powerful ex-gladiator Tyrannus (Jonathon Cake) and the vestal virgin Camane (Emily Blunt). Now his world is collapsing. Camane is in prison; Tyrannus, a widower who left his children with their prosperous foster parents, is fighting for Antony. Is the situation hopeless?

OF NOTE

"Situation: Comedy," 5, 6 and 8 p.m., Bravo. The world seems to be full of people who have sitcom ideas but don't know what to do with them. In this reality show, produced by Sean Hayes of "Will & Grace," novice writers get a chance to share them.

"Average Joe 4," 7 p.m., NBC. Anna goes on individual dates with the final four then narrows the field to two for finale airing tomorrow.
