Warriors picked third in WAC media poll

The University of Hawai‘i football team has been picked to finish third this season in the Western Athletic Conference, according to the annual poll of media covering the conference released today.

Boise State, which has won 26 consecutive conference games dating to 2001, was picked first followed by Fresno State.

Fifty seven media members took part in the poll, 43 of whom picked the Broncos to repeat as champions. The other 14 all picked FSU.

Boise quarterback Jared Zabransky was named the conference preseason offensive player of the year and Fresno State defensive lineman Garrett McIntyre the defensive player of the year.
