A Schofield Barracks soldier has been charged with murder in the death of his 5-year-old daughter, who died July 16 at Wheeler Army Airfield, the Army said today.

In addition to murder, Spc. Naeem J. Williams, 25, who has been in custody since the death of Talia Williams, was charged today with conspiracy, making a false official statement, aggravated assault, assault upon a child and obstruction of justice.

Williams' wife, Delilah Williams, was charged July 18 with first-degree murder.

Talia was found unresponsive at an apartment on July 16 after a call to military police. She was taken to a local hospital and died later that night.

Court documents filed after Delilah Williams was charged said the girl had been hit daily by Naeem Williams since April or March for wetting herself.
