TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Arrested Development," 7, 7:30, 8 and 8:30 p.m., Fox. Last year, the show was nominated for seven Emmys and won five. This year, it has 11 nominations, including best comedy, actor (Jason Bateman), supporting actor (Jeffrey Tambor), supporting actress (Jessica Walter) and three of the five writing nominations. It's a smart comedy, beautifully acted. Tonight's episodes starts with the family patriarch (Tambor) missing and poor Michael (Bateman) being sought by authorities.
OF NOTE
"U.S. Marshals" (1998), 5 p.m., TNT. On Thursday, TNT showed the superb "The Fugitive." Now Tommy Lee Jones returns to his Oscar-winning role as a marshal in this fast-paced sequel.
"8 Simple Rules," 7 p.m., ABC. It's sort of a "Married With Children" reunion when Ed O'Neill guest stars as Katey Sagal's old college boyfriend.
"Hope & Faith," 7:30 and 8 p.m., ABC. Faith (Kelly Ripa) returns from her India adventure and has finally pushed her brother-in-law's patience too far. He throws her out. In tonight's second rerun, she's temporarily living in a mall furniture display.
"Crossing Jordan," 9 p.m., NBC. Five days before an execution, Jordan thinks she helped convict the wrong person. Now she races to Los Angeles to find fresh evidence, with Woody following. Meanwhile, Bug is working with a quirky detective (Sandra Bernhard).
"Numb3rs," 9 p.m., CBS. People are suddenly turning ill in scattered parts of Los Angeles. Charlie must find a link.
