Alleged threats land fugitive back in jail

Police arrested a 41-year-old man in Mililani on Wednesday after he allegedly threatened a woman whom he is accused of sexually assaulting last month.
Scott Wilkerson was under a court order to stay away from the woman.
But about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday Wilkerson approached the woman, 27, in Wahiawa, police said. She ran to her car, locked herself inside and called police on a cell phone as Wilkerson proceeded to pound and stomp on her vehicle, police said. Police arrested him in Mililani about 6:10 p.m.
"He was jumping on the car screaming at her," said police Sgt. Kim Capllonch. "She was pretty frightened, but thank God we got (to) her."
Wilkerson was charged yesterday with first-degree terroristic threatening and violating a no-contact order. Bail on the latest charges was set at $100,000. He remained in custody last night.
Wilkerson had been released on June 30 after posting $100,000 bail on the sex-assault charges, but failed to show up in court and a $500,000 warrant was issued for his arrest.
He was previously charged with two counts of first-degree sex assault, two counts of second-degree sex assault, one count of fourth-degree sex assault and one count of second-degree theft.
Police said Wilkerson has 34 prior arrests and three felony convictions for possession of drugs and terroristic threatening.
Wilkerson was on five years' probation for a drug conviction in 2002, according to the Hawai'i Criminal Justice Data Center.
Capllonch said his bail was set high because of his criminal record and because he went after the person whom he is accused of sexually assaulting.
