Taped incident leads to arrest

A 41-year-old Palolo woman was arrested at a Pearl City store yesterday after she was caught on video surveillance equipment while allegedly trying to steal a video camera.Pearl city police officers responded, reviewed the surveillance tape and arrested the woman on suspicion of second-degree theft.
Domestic argument alleged
A 29-year-old Waipahu man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of first-degree burglary and kidnapping following a domestic argument with an 18-year-old woman.
The woman told police the man forced his way into her Kailua home about 5:40 p.m. and forced her to go with him to the Pearl City area. The woman was later dropped off unharmed at the Pearl City police station.
The suspect was arrested after he turned himself in to police later in the evening.
Wife alleges abuse
A Village Park man, 38, was arrested yesterday on suspicion of terroristic threatening after his wife told police he made stabbing motions at her with a knife Thursday night.
The wife told investigators her husband was perturbed by an e-mail she had received. She said she had gone to bed for the night when her husband entered the bedroom, got into bed, awakened her and made stabbing motions at her with a knife, stopping the blade each time about five inches from her body.
The wife said she told the husband to leave the bedroom and he complied, but returned a few minutes later with another knife and said he was going to make her a "blood sacrifice."
The wife called police and her husband fled from the house. He returned to the house yesterday and was arrested after his wife contacted police.
Kidnapping, robbery reported
Police were looking for two men, one 25 and the other in his 30s, after a 25-year-old man reported he was kidnapped and robbed in Waipahu early this morning.
The victim told police an acquaintance called him about 1:30 a.m. and asked him to pick her up at the corner of Honowai and Kipou streets. The man said he arrived to find the woman standing in the middle of the street and stopped his car to pick her up when two men jumped into the back seat.
The driver told police one of the men pulled out a silver revolver and ordered him to drive off, leaving the woman standing in the street.
The driver said he was ordered out of his car a short time later. He said the two men searched him for money and punched him before he was able to run away.
The victim called police who searched the area, but did not find the suspects.
Man assaulted downtown
A 21-year-old man told police he was robbed in downtown Honolulu about 11 p.m. yesterday by a 15-year-old boy who approached him from behind and tackled him to the ground.
Police said the boy took a shoulder bag from the victim who suffered minor injuries.
The youth, who was subdued by police who noticed the commotion, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery and was later released without charges pending further investigation.
