UH football on network TV; first time in 22 years

The University of Hawai'i football team will play Fresno State on ABC television Oct. 29 at Aloha Stadium, the Western Athletic Conference confirmed today.Game time will be switched to 1 p.m. from the originally announced 6:05 p.m. kickoff to accommodate UH's first-regular season network TV appearance in 22 seasons.
The WAC said the game will be shown to approximately 18 percent of the country, including the states of Hawai'i, California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and parts of Idaho.
"We are pleased that ABC is giving us the opportunity for this exposure on the West Coast," said Karl Benson, WAC Commissioner.
In addition to the UH-Fresno State game, ABC will also show the Oct. 1 Nevada at San Jose State game. They are the first two WAC games ABC has shown since 1998.
