For a generation of American brides, the name Vera Wang has been synonymous with romance and understated elegance. When planning for the perfect wedding gown, the iconic designer's name has been at the top of nearly every bride's wish list.
Now Honolulu's beloved Halekulani, also known for its understated elegance and aura of romance, has paired with Wang to create a sumptuous, sensuous suite for honeymooners, as well as others seeking a place to share a romantic interlude.

Every detail in the 2,135-square-foot Vera Wang Suite at Halekulani was overseen by the designer. The living room features natural wood tones highlighted by tropical colors and comfortable deep sofas in Wang's signature lavender.
The TV lounge houses a 50-inch Sony plasma TV built into the wall, as well as a collection of Wang's favorite DVDs: "Love Story," "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and "Love, Actually" among them.

Halekulani Hotel's Vera Wang Suite caters for every whim with 24-hour butler service and the latest electronic comforts.
In addition, Dale DeGroff, a world-renowned mixologist and Halekulani's Director of Beverage Arts, has created a unique cocktail menu that will be served to Vera Wang guests en suite. Libations include cleverly named drinks such as Kiss of Venus, Aphrodite's Poison and Cupid's Arrow.
In the midst of all this modern romance, Sony has partnered with Halekulani to fill the suite with electronic comforts that are not available anywhere else in the United States. Among them, a 12.1-inch wireless TV featuring an on-screen keyboard for e-mail and Web browsing and a DVD Wireless Audio Dream System.
Of course, this kind of luxury doesn't come cheap. The price of a night in the Vera Wang suite $4,000 could buy you one of the designer's coveted gowns. (Well, maybe one of her less expensive gowns, anyway.)
