UH-USC football opener kicks off at 1 p.m.

The University of Hawai'i football season-opener Sept. 3 against national champion Southern California will be telecast on ESPN2 with a 1 p.m. kickoff."We are proud to have our opening game selected for national television," UH Athletics Director Herman Frazier said. "This game, while not in our traditional time slot, will bring great exposure to our state and our program all over the country."
The Warriors are scheduled to appear on national television three times in the 2005 season. Last week, the Western Athletic Conference announced that the Warriors would appear on ABC Television on Oct. 29, against Fresno State. The Wisconsin game on Friday, Nov. 25, also will be telecast on ESPN2.
