Pedestrian hit by bus downtown

A 55-year-old Kalihi man was critically injured this morning when he stepped off the sidewalk along Hotel Street in downtown Honolulu and was sideswiped by a city bus.The incident happed about 10:30 a.m. and police traffic investigators shut down the section of Hotel Street between Smith Street and Nu'uanu Avenue to conduct an investigation.
The injured man was taken to The Queen's Medical Center and arrived there in critical condition.
