Ex-fugitive pleads guilty to charges

Advertiser Staff

Reinier Kraan, who was on the U.S. Marshal Service's Top 15 most-wanted list when he was captured last July in Boise, Idaho, pleaded guilty yesterday to methamphetamine trafficking and firearm charges.

Kraan, 40, will be sentenced Jan. 23, 2006, by federal Judge Alan C. Kay. He faces a possible term of 10 years to life.

The drug and firearm charges against Kraan stem from a 1998 investigation that began when California postal inspectors intercepted a parcel containing 4.65 pounds of crystal meth sent to Kraan in Hawai'i.
