Man injured by bus downtown

A 55-year-old Kalihi man was critically injured yesterday morning when he stepped off the sidewalk along Hotel Street in downtown Honolulu and was sideswiped by a city bus.
The incident happened about 10:30 a.m. Police traffic investigators shut down the section of Hotel Street between Smith Street and Nu'uanu Avenue to conduct an investigation.
The injured man was taken to The Queen's Medical Center and arrived there in critical condition.
A 27-year-old Kalihi man was arrested Wednesday night after a road-rage incident that began on the H-1 Freeway in Kalihi.
Police said the man and a 16-year-old boy were traveling in a sport utility vehicle about 10:20 p.m. when they got into a confrontation with a 40-year-old Wai'anae man who was driving a pickup truck.
The driver of the SUV followed the pickup truck to the corner of Nimitz Highway and Kalihi Street, where the SUV's driver allegedly walked up to the pickup and punched the Wai'anae man through the window, police said.
A 24-year-old Wahiawa man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly assaulting his estranged wife on Monday.
The two met at the woman's home on Monday and got into an argument. The woman told police her husband punched her in the face and left. She went to the hospital, where she was treated for a broken jaw.
The wife told police she spotted her husband in front of her home yesterday. Police arrested him on suspicion of second-degree assault.
