What's open and closed on Kamehameha Day

Here's what will be open or closed today in observance of Kamehameha Day. The actual holiday is tomorrow, but state and county governments and others get the day off today.

Federal offices: Open.

State and county offices: Closed.

Mail: Normal operations.

Libraries: Some open, some closed; check with your branch.

TheBus: Holiday schedule. Call 848-5555.

Handi-Van: Operating. Call 456-5555.

On-street parking: Free, except for metered Kalakaua Avenue spaces adjacent to Kapi'olani Park; holiday tow-away parking as permitted by sign; meters in municipal lots must be fed.

Traffic: No coning.

Trash: Regular pickup schedule.

Landfills and convenience centers: Open.

Parks, recreation centers, municipal golf courses, botanical gardens and Honolulu Zoo: Open

Open Markets: Not operating.
