CONSTANCE H. LAU, president and chief executive officer of American Savings Bank, has been installed as president of the Hawaii Bankers Association, the trade association representing banks and savings associations doing business in Hawai'i. Other officers include vice president DONALD G. HORNER, president and chief executive officer of First Hawaiian Bank; and secretary-treasurer CLINTON L. ARNOLDUS, chief executive officer of Central Pacific Bank. RODNEY R. SHINKAWA is the association's executive vice president and director.

• Hawaii Medical Service Association has promoted GWEN MIYASATO and STEVE VAN RIBBINK to executive vice presidents. Miyasato will oversee Internal Operations and Benefit Services Management. Van Ribbink remains chief financial officer and treasurer, and will oversee Financial Services and Reporting, Rating and Reimbursement Systems, Administrative Services, and Facilities Management.

• Hawaiian Airlines has named veteran information technology veteran DAVID OSBORNE as senior vice president-chief information officer. He will oversee a myriad of company functions, including technology planning, resource management, service and support and oversight of the airline's Information Technology Department projects.

SCOTT MOWERY, a planner with Helber Hastert & Fee, has been promoted to an associate of the firm. He has a broad range of professional planning and project management in Hawai'i and the Pacific region.

• Bank of Hawaii Corp. has named MARY SELLERS vice chair and chief risk officer, and part of the bank's eight-member managing committee. She will succeed BILL NELSON, who retires at the end of the month. Sellers will be responsible for overseeing management of corporate-wide risk.
