Beach Walk updates on Web

Hawai'i residents and visitors can get updates on Outrigger Enterprises Inc.'s $460 million Waikiki Beach Walk project on a Web site: www.waikikibeachwalk.com.

The Web site includes views from Outrigger's four live web cameras around the construction site, traffic updates and other information about the project, which began April 25 and is expected to be completed late next year. Outrigger is redeveloping the 7.9-acre Lewers Street area into an upscale combination of hotels, restaurants, stores and entertainment destinations.



Labor secretary to christen ship

NCL America said its new Pride of America cruise ship is scheduled to be christened tomorrow by Elaine Chao, U.S. secretary of labor, the Miami-based company said.

After a series of coastal sailings, Pride of America will arrive in her home port of Honolulu on July 23 and begin weeklong cruises of the Hawaiian Islands.
