44 Honolulu police officers are promoted

Chief Boisse Correa yesterday announced the promotions of 44 Honolulu police officers. The promotions take effect Sunday.
Newly promoted Capt. Louis Kealoha will be assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division. Kealoha now works in the Office of Accreditation and previously was a training academy instructor. Kealoha will replace Capt. Edward Nishi, who will transfer to District 2 (Wahiawa).
New lieutenants include Letha DeCaires and Clyde Ho, Communications Division; Terrence Kong, Office of Accreditation; and Allan Nagata, Criminal Investigations Division.
New sergeants are Samuel Arcalas and Kim Cappllonch, CID; Matthew Black, Neville Colburn, Debra Higa, Erik Ochoco and Chi So, District 1; Kevin Ciparro and Herbert Schreiner, District 7; Kevin Espinda, Robert Jaeger, Daniel Kaholokula and Jefferey Pohaku, Traffic Division; Channing Hawkins, District 4; and Ernest Pascual, Juvenile Services Division.
New detectives are David Ardren, District 5, Theft Zone; John Martin, District 7, Theft Zone; Erik Egami, Lyle Fleck, Gregory Lopez, Claire Lum Lee, Paul Nobriga Jr., Brian Santos, Thomas Santos III and John Torres Jr., Criminal Investigations Division.
New Metropolitan Police Officer IIs include Josh Anderson and Michael Hall, Training Division; Melvin Andres Jr., Gerald Bento, George Faris, William Lee and Dana Paikai, District 1; Thayne Costa, Narcotics/Vice Division; Zane Hamrick and Paul Pladera, District 4; Mei King and Herbert Lau, District 2; Jesse Okumura, District 5; and Henry Souza, Traffic Division.
