Marshall Prescott Hainer of San Antonio celebrated his first birthday on March 6 at a dinner party at the Hale Koa Hotel hosted by his parents, Mark Hainer and Marlene Chun-Hainer, both formerly of Honolulu. Marshall was born March 6, 2004.

Elijah Waileia O'Day of Honolulu celebrated his first birthday on the June 4-6 weekend, camping at Bellows Beach, hosted by his parents, Patrick and Rochelle O'Day, his grandfather, Martin O'Day and his grandparents, Douglas and Beverly Lewis. Elijah was born June 1, 2004.
