The University of Hawai'i Board of Regents is expected to approve multi-year contract extensions for athletic director Herman Frazier and men's basketball coach Riley Wallace on Tuesday.
Both items are listed on the board's executive session agenda for its meeting at Leeward Community College.
Board action is required on unit managers, such as Frazier, and on multi-year deals for coaches.
Wallace, whose contract expired April 30, had a provision for a two-year extension, if mutually agreed upon. Wallace said he and UH have agreed to the extension and an undisclosed raise.
Frazier is expected to receive at least a three-year extension and a raise. Both have been receiving base salaries of $210,000.
The extension would take Wallace, who has been UH's head coach for 18 seasons, to age 65. He is UH's winningest men's basketball coach with a 299-241 record. His teams have compiled winning records in 14 of 18 seasons. The Rainbow Warriors were 16-13 last season.
Frazier's current three-year contract expires July 31. He has presided over a new three-year television contract with KHNL/KFVE that will pay the school $1.75 million per year. Frazier has also overseen the institution of premium seating and is working on ending a streak of three consecutive years of budget deficits, two on his watch.
