• Diagnostic Laboratory Services Inc. has expanded the role of MINNIE PANG, vice president of technical operations, to include oversight of technical operations at The Queen's Medical Center Laboratory, including cytology, and Moloka'i General Hospital Laboratory. She continues responsibility for core laboratory, microbiology, toxicology and field operations. She began with DLS in 1985 as a medical technologist. She was selected, in 2003, as Pacific Business News' "Women Who Mean Business."

• VIRGE JANUS has joined the King Street office of Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties as a sales associate. She was formerly with Mary Worrall Associates. Locally, Coldwell has more than 500 sales associates and support staff in five O'ahu offices, offering brokerage, moving and home services, corporate relocation, bank real estate-owned asset management and financing.

NANCY ELLIS, who retired from Hawai'i Pacific University last month as vice president of student support services, will rejoin the university in July as vice president of community relations. Assuming her previous position, effective the same date, will be Jeffrey L. Philpott.

Ellis had a 23-year career with the school beginning in 1982 when she became registrar. She held a number of positions before her retirement, including associate academic dean, dean of student support services and vice president of student support services. Also, SCOTT STENSRUD has been named vice president of enrollment management at HPU, effective July 1. He has been director of admissions since 1993.

• DARREN S. LAKE has joined A&B Properties Inc., the real estate subsidiary of Alexander & Baldwin Inc., as project manager. He will oversee planning and development of commercial and residential real estate projects statewide. A&B Properties has an income portfolio of more than 5 million square feet of leasable retail, office and industrial space in Hawai'i and the Mainland.

• LISA SAKAMOTO has been named vice president-finance for Catholic Charities Hawai'i. She is a former vice president of finance and government affairs for Young Brothers Ltd. Since 1947, Catholic Charities Hawai'i has been part of one of the nation's largest, private networks of people helping people.
