OHA grant helps riding center
Manawale'a Riding Center has received a $16,953 grant from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs. The grant will enable the center to begin the planning and design phase of a bath house equipped in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The riding center offers children, youths and adults with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor experience of interacting with horses.
Hawaii Dental Service, the state's leading dental benefits provider, has donated $5,000 to provide dental care for guests of the Institute of Human Services shelter in Iwilei. The grant will allow IHS to expand services to include preventive dental care.
