Man arrested in threat

A 46-year-old man was arrested in 'Ewa yesterday after he allegedly threatened to kill a woman, her daughter and the woman's mother.

The woman, 41, told police she was arguing with the man when he grabbed a knife and threatened her and the others and then stepped outside briefly, allowing her the opportunity to call police.

Police arrived at the home about 5:30 p.m. and arrested the man without incident for suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening. There were no injuries.



Slashing incident leads to arrest

An 80-year-old McCully man was arrested in downtown Honolulu last night after he allegedly slashed a 55-year-old man with a keyhole saw on a sidewalk in front of 10 N. Hotel St.

Police did not say what sparked the incident. Officers arrived at the scene about 7:15 p.m. and arrested the older man for suspicion of second-degree assault.



Fight leads to felony arrest

A 43-year-old Kalihi man was arrested yesterday for suspicion of several felony offenses following an altercation with his girlfriend.

Police said the two got into an argument in the boyfriend's car and the girlfriend tried to get out of the car, which was still moving.

The boyfriend continued to drive while restraining the girlfriend and punching her head, police said.

The boyfriend eventually stopped the car and got out with the girlfriend and tore her purse away, injuring the girlfriend's shoulder, police said.

The boyfriend drove away with the purse, but was located by police a short time later and arrested at the corner of North School Street and Gulick Avenue for suspicion of kidnapping, second-degree robbery and abuse of a family or household member.



Sexual assault arrest made

A 29-year-old Kane'ohe man was arrested yesterday after a 19-year-old woman told police she recognized him as the same man who exposed himself to her during the noon hour on June 20 while she was riding a city bus.

The woman saw the same man board a city bus yesterday and called police, who arrested the man at 1111Alakea St. for suspicion of fourth-degree sexual assault.



Girl reports sexual assault

A 49-year-old Kalihi Kai man was arrested yesterday as a suspect in the sexual assault of girl, who is now 12 years old, from 1999 through 2002.

Police said the suspect is the ex-boyfriend of the girl's mother.

He was arrested on suspicion of 11 counts of first-degree sexual assault and 13 counts of third-degree sexual assault.

The man was identified and booked at the main police station yesterday before being released pending further investigation.
