A commission aimed at keeping Hawai'i's economy going strong is getting off to a slow start.
Earlier this month Gov. Linda Lingle announced the creation of a 31-member Economic Momentum Commission, which is charged with finding ways to stave off Hawai'i's next economic downturn.
The group was expected to hold its first meeting this month; however, the meeting has been pushed to July.
Lingle spokesman Russell Pang said the delay was caused by scheduling conflicts and shouldn't delay a release of a final report in October.
