QUICK BITES
Your chance to be as famous as Spam

Advertiser Staff

This one definitely goes in the "only in Hawai'i" file: A contest to discover a Mr. or Ms. Spam.

No, it's not a beauty competition or an eating contest. It's an effort to come up with an interesting concept for a Spam commercial. Enter by snail- or e-mailing a 200-word essay outlining your ad concept, and a picture of yourself with Spam, to Mr. or Ms. Spam, Fleishman-Hillard, 225 S. Sixth St., Suite 5350, Minneapolis, MN 55402, or to spamhawaii@fleishman.com. Or mail in a 90- to 120-second video of your concept, plus the essay.

The contest is open only to residents of Hawai'i 18 and older. Finalists will be judged via public voting at www.kccnfm100.com and www.hawaiian105.com in mid-April. Enter by March 13. Winner will be announced at the April 30 Waikiki Spam Jam.
