Damon Sublett's two-run double highlighted a four-run seventh inning and snapped a 3-all tie as nationally-ranked Wichita State beat Sacramento State, 9-3, yesterday in the second day of the First Hawai'i Title Rainbow Baseball Tournament at Les Murakami Stadium.
The Shockers (12-1 overall, 1-1 in the tournament), ranked 15th by Collegiate Baseball and 24th by Sports Weekly/ESPN, trailed 3-2 after four before tying it at 3 on Sublett's RBI single in the fifth.
Nick McCoola led the Shockers by batting 3 for 5 with three runs scored. Sublett, Blake Hurlbutt and Derek Schermerhorn each had two hits for the Shockers.
Kyle Touchatt (2-0) pitched 2 2/3 innings, allowing a run on three hits and two walks with four strikeouts in relief of starter Kris Johnson. Noah Booth gave up four hits with five strikeouts in three innings of scoreless relief for the save. The Hornets (6-7, 1-1) took a 2-0 lead in the first on two-run double by Brett Flowers.
Warren Rosebrock (1-1) gave up two of the four runs in the Shockers' seventh. He was charged with two runs on three hits in 1 2/3 innings of relief for starter Travis Kane.

Kevin Ardoin allowed a run on five hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings to help the Rajin' Cajuns stay undefeated on the season at 12-0 and 2-0 in the tournament. Micah Cockrell pitched a perfect 2 1/3 innings of relief for the save. The Rajin' Cajuns jumped on South Florida starter Chase Lirette (1-2) for three runs in the bottom of the first on a two-run double by Phillip Hawke and RBI single by John McCarthy. They added an unearned run in the second to make it 4-0.
Jeff Baisley's RBI single in the top of the third made it 4-1.
