We know how good it feels to make a difference, and now we have the numbers to back it up. A national Thrivent Financial for Lutherans survey found out this about American volunteerism:
57% of us said we had volunteered with a nonprofit or charitable cause in 2004, up nine percentage points from 2003. Why do we volunteer?
75% said acting on moral values is an absolutely or very important factor.
