A Pearl Harbor survivor who went on to be Commander of the Pacific Division Naval Facilities Engineering Command and Commander, Third Naval Construction Brigade, Pearl Harbor. Survived by sons, Spencer Smith Jr., M.D., Gregory Smith McFadden, M.D., Austin and Reid Smith; daughter, Shelley McFadden; 12 grandchildren. Committal ceremony to be held at Arlington National Cemetery in early summer. No flowers. Donations to Central Union Church or the Construction Battalion (Seabee) Center Museum, Port Hueneme, Calif.
