Annual fair features free health screenings, exams

Free health screenings and examinations will be available at the 2005 PrimeTime Wellness Fair, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., March 23 at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.

The free event draws several thousand people annually. Although it targets people age 50 and up, it is open to all ages.

The fair will feature:

• Free health screenings and examinations for glucose and cholesterol, blood pressure, ear exam, bone density testing, foot screening and risk assessments for breast cancer and falls.

• "Ask A Pharmacist" from Longs Drugs.

• Entertainment with "Na Kupuna O Makua Ali'i."

• Craft demonstrations, activities and games including bingo with Marmie Kaaihue from Creative Holidays.

• Door prizes, including a Neighbor Island trip for two, courtesy of Creative Holidays.

• Seminars on nutrition, exercise, hearing loss, long-term care, identity theft and financial fraud.

• A cooking demonstration by Foodland Chef Keoni Chang.
