Tidy up your life
Get organized in one of two ways, suggests Marcia Ramsland, author of "Simplify Your Life: Get Organized and Stay That Way!":
• Organize and simplify "as you go" each day. For instance, straighten up the kitchen each night, plus clean out one refrigerator shelf. In less than a week, the whole refrigerator will be done.
• Set aside time for a bigger project. When something like reorganizing a closet means you have to pull things apart, schedule a half day to get the whole project done.
Final word
"I believe that having a healthy life, sleeping and eating right, is half the work (of looking good). I eat organic food and I drink only green tea gallons of it when I'm writing. I smoke cigarettes, but organic ones."
