The University of Hawai'i and Nevada-Las Vegas football teams have finalized an agreement to play each other at Aloha Stadium on Sept. 16, 2006, and at Sam Boyd Stadium on Sept. 14, 2007.
The visiting team will receive an appearance fee of $200,000. "It's a natural game for both schools," said UH coach June Jones, who had hoped both games would have been scheduled for Las Vegas, where there are a large number of Hawai'i transplants.
UH's other non-conference games in 2006 are at Alabama on Sept. 6 and against Purdue on Nov. 25. With eight league games, UH needs one more opponent to complete its 2006 football schedule.
