Energy Industries acquires Mainland firm

Energy Industries LLC, a Honolulu-based energy efficiency company with accounts nationwide, has acquired Quantum Lighting of Spokane, Wash.Energy Industries specializes in energy management and conservation programs for commercial and industrial customers nationwide, including several large supermarket chains and big box retailers. It operates under the names ECH, ECH Lighting & Electrical, ECH Lighting Co., Pacific Energy Services and EControls.
"Energy Industries and Quantum Lighting share a common vision to be the leading supplier of lighting retrofit and maintenance, on-site energy engineering and energy project development services to the commercial and industrial markets nationwide," said Darren Kimura, president and chief executive officer of Energy Industries.
Quantum Lighting will remain based in Spokane and become the Pacific Northwest main regional office for Energy Industries, Kimura said.
Energy Industries, founded in 1994, has more than 100 employees in Hawai'i, Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and California.
