Business briefs: Honolulu gas price hits record

The average price for regular gasoline in Honolulu rose eight-tenths of a cent to a record $2.348 a gallon, according to a survey released yesterday by AAA travel club.Statewide the average price for regular was $2.440, while in Wailuku, Maui the price was $2.669 a gallon. Both prices were less than a penny below records hit earlier this month.
In Hilo the average for regular was $2.484 a gallon, which was nearly 4 cents below a November record.
