Advertiser Staff

Police arrested a 40-year-old man in Wai'anae early this morning who they suspect stole a motorcycle belonging to a 43-year-old man.

Patrol officers were sent to Hoku'ai'aina Place at about 2:10 a.m. on a call regarding a suspicious motorcycle.

The officers arrived to find a man sitting on the motorcycle and ran a computer check on its vehicle identification number. The check showed that the motorcycle had been reported stolen and police arrested the man for suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.

Sexual assault arrest made

A 40-year-old Kapolei man was arrested yesterday for suspicion of multiple sexual assault incidents in response to a complaint filed by his 13-year-old stepdaughter.

The girl contends the man sexually assaulted her several times between June 2001 and January 2005.

Police are also checking into a complaint filed by a Waipahu girl who said a male member of her family sexually assaulted her from June 2000 until September 2001. No arrests had been made in the second case.
