Tonight on KHNL News 8
Hardware Hawaii turns 50. KHNL News 8's Lyle Galdeira visits the state's second-largest lumber supplierÊin tonight's "Lucky You Live Hawai'i" at 5 and 10. |
"Battlestar Galactica," 8 p.m., Sci Fi Channel. It's a little better than most shows and tons better than the old "Battlestar." Now, with two episodes left this season, everyone has troubles. Baltar keeps talking to his invisible friend, a gorgeous Cylon. He beds the visible Starbuck, wonderfully played by Katee Sackhoff, until the moment is spoiled. Apollo, Starbuck's real love, has a macho face-off with his dad. President Roslin faces her fatal illness. Boomer sensing that she's a Cylon faces suicidal agony. Amid all that, pilots make a discovery that may or may not change everything. Stay tuned because this leads into next week's cliffhanger.
"Kojak," 9 p.m., USA Network. Ving Rhames is terrific as the new lollipop-loving Theo Kojak and the opening movie is stylishly filmed. The bad news is that the story line, while enthralling, is tough, hard and unrelenting: A brutal story of murder, kids and torment. Let's hope the series (airs at 10 p.m. Sundays beginning April 3) lightens up.
