Meredith Tsutayo Kuba, right, outgoing Cherry Blossom Queen, passed her scepter last night to her successor, Brooke Mariko Hasegawa. The new queen, a graduate of Punahou School and the University of Southern California, is working toward her master of business administration degree at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa.
